Board of Trustees Approves Staff Pay Increases for 2025-26 School Year

The Granbury ISD Board of Trustees approved significant pay increases for district staff, effective for the 2025–26 school year. With the assistance of House Bill 2, aimed at boosting teacher compensation across Texas, Granbury ISD is able to fund staff raises throughout the district.

Teachers will receive salary increases based on their years of experience:

  • $5,000 raise for teachers with 5 or more years of experience
  • $2,500 raise for those with 3–4 years
  • $1,000 raise for teachers with 0–2 years of experience

In addition, the starting salary for first-year teachers in Granbury ISD will increase to $61,000, reinforcing the district’s commitment to attracting and retaining high-quality educators.

Beyond teacher raises, the district has also approved a 3% midpoint pay increase for paraprofessional, clerical, auxiliary staff, and professionals on the A1, A2, and A3 pay schedule, and a 2% midpoint pay increase for employees on the A4–A8 pay schedule.

“Our teachers and staff are the heart of Granbury ISD, and we are committed to recognizing the incredible work they do every day,” said Board President Courtney Gore. “We’re thankful the state provided the resources through House Bill 2, and we’re proud to use those funds to directly support the people who make a difference in the lives of our students.”
