Granbury ISD’s EECU Customer Care Awards were presented at Baccus Elementary School during monthly campus visits with the board of trustees and district administrators on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Jonniece Montgomery and Michelle Castaneda were presented with the EECU Customer Care Awards, a recognition award given to deserving employees. At the presentation, Baccus Principal Dr. Lacey Padgett praised Jonniece and Michelle for their dedication to the district, campus, and to the students.
Dr. Padgett said the following about Jonniece Montgomery:
“Jonniece Montgomery exemplifies what it means to care deeply for our Baccus students, families, and staff. As our PE teacher, she knows every student by name and takes the time to build meaningful relationships with them and their families. Her connection extends beyond the classroom—she frequently attends student games, performances, and community events, showing her genuine support and pride in our kids.
Jonniece goes above and beyond every day to ensure our school runs smoothly. Each morning, she helps in the front office and greets families with a smile. No matter the weather—rain, wind, sun, or snow—she’s outside for car rider duty, ensuring students arrive safely and families feel welcome. She always has a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed.
Her dedication, reliability, and caring spirit make Jonniece a cornerstone of the Baccus community and a perfect recipient of the Customer Care Award.”
Dr. Padgett said the following about Michelle Castaneda:
“Michelle Castaneda consistently goes above and beyond to support our students, staff, and school community. After serving as a dedicated Special Education paraprofessional, she has seamlessly transitioned into her new role as our Librarian Paraprofessional. Michelle has embraced this position with enthusiasm and creativity, working closely with teachers to support their technology needs and enhance student learning experiences.
Under her leadership, the library has become a vibrant hub of innovation and curiosity. She has implemented a Maker Space for our students, giving them opportunities to explore, create, and problem-solve in engaging, hands-on ways. Michelle’s initiative, adaptability, and positive attitude make her an invaluable part of our Baccus team.
Her commitment to excellence and her care for every student truly embody the spirit of the Customer Care Award.”
The district thanks EECU for their partnership and for the gifts presented to Customer Care winners.
