Meet the Librarian

Hi, my name is Kimberly Young, and I am the librarian here at Nettie Baccus Elementary School. This will be my 20th year serving as librarian at Baccus! In 1985 I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and began working as a teacher in Dallas. After teaching for seven years I went on to do some other things, including being a stay-at-home mom to my two children, Morgan and Audra. Before returning to work, I began working on a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science, and I received my degree in 2004. I am privileged to be at Baccus with so many fine teachers and such a wonderful administrative staff.
My husband is a home health physical therapist, and we have two daughters that both graduated from Granbury High School. Our oldest daughter, Morgan, graduated from the University of North Texas, and Audra will finish her degree at Tarleton University this fall.
